After a long hiatus (because m not a B School student any more....work is taking its toll...)..I am posting details of another Crucible evening..this time the Corporate round at Bangalore...

Large no of teams participated which also caught GIRI's amazement..the hall was packed to the max with keen quizzers and followers who hopes to set the event on fire in the years to come

The event started off with a 25 Q prelims..questions ranged from print ads to history of the city to contemporary TVCs..

Yesterday Crucible saw a new record...As per Giri the Banglaore round saw a turnout of more than 250 teams...But after he checked the prelims, the turnout for Kolkata was 275 and expectedly so, being the home of Quizzing in India

Well as expected, 4 teams were chosen directly for Finals and 2 Wild Card rounds were held to give chance to maximum possible teams..so rest 2 teams were chosen from rest 12 teams...

As I promised in my last post, SHOWTIME is back with a new format of scoring and point system .. (Inspired by my friends Shayamal Misra's similar initiative on his blog)

The pattern which will be followed:

1. 1 point for each question (In case of a connect question: 1 point for dsecribing correctly each connect and 1 point for the overall connect)

2. If a question has multiple parts, part points will be awarded only if mentioned

3. The early bird entry will receive 1 more point as a bonus

4. Winner of every 3 months (cumulative points) will get a gift from my side (hope it works as an incentive for more replies !!!)

This is a brief coverage of the TATA CRUCIBLE FINALS which took place yesterday at TAJ LANDS END BANDRA...I just managed to get a share of the finals (4 out of 5 rounds of the TATA track...) So, please read below to get the questions which I could manage to remember and recollect during my brief stay in the finals...

The 1st round was called "GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE":
